Rapid LED diy cob kit

Postby Greeneyesseeclearer » Thu Jan 11, 2018 6:35 pm

So I'm gonna do a little review of my new light.

I got it from rapid led. If your interested In cobs...i definitely recommend checking them out. The web site is very nice, easy to navigate. They have aquarium leds as well. It's the best deals I could find, theough I. Sure you could find cheaper. Free shipping on over 229. 00 I believe. Well they do have free shipping, just can't remember the number. It's around that. You can use growmau5 for 5% discount which I did. You also get 10% first order....but I recommend doing that before you want to purchase. You have to email them with your email and IG name...plus follow them and subscribe to their newsletter....then they send you a coupon code. I didn't wait and used the other coupon. Either way, I still have 10% for my best order. They gave me a rapid LED sticker and a growmau5 sticker too! I like that shit! Any way, check them out...i liked the site better than timber. Or whatever. Any way...on to the light...

2x2 vero29 se cob kit. Comes with 3 vero29s, ballast of your choice, I believe 3 are available. I went with the 2100, as it went In my 2x3...push them babies! There are two options....i went with the individual heat sinks over the passive. A little more money, but fuck a cooling fan. Any way....also has holders...reflectors...frame...hangers...which are cool but don't work In a tent. Driver....dimmer...wire...screws and plug. The only thing it could use is some zip ties. To tidy it up. It comes with wago connectors too. Very easy. Pretty easy to build of your mach. Inclined. I did have to watch a video to get the wiring right. The directions kind of sucked, but I managed. Overall if your thinking of getting into cobs and want to save a little and diy I highly recommend them. They have all you would need. I do wish the frame was slightly longer, but it covers my 2x3 just fine. I cannot imagine this unit I a 2x2! It's at 60% in the 2x3 with plenty of light. These shits are seriously bright. No joke...i was extremely impressed! I'll post some pics later. Peace.
